  • Whether your event is a small gathering of 20 people or a full scale concert production, we have the services, staff and equipment to fit your needs.

  • At The Tower, your event will sparkle against the glittering backdrop of the city lights below. Our spacious rooms are filled with light but little else, offering you a blank canvas to create any kind of atmosphere you desire. We host single meetings to multi-day conferences, utilizing multiple spaces in the stadium complex, both indoor and outdoor. Finish your meetings with a field goal kick or concert on the turf? Sure, we can arrange that.

  • Why host your meetings and tradeshows in a dull, windowless ballroom when you can impress your vendors and guests with an airy, light-filled space looking over the city? Elevate your next event in one of our spacious event rooms, or take it outside on the plaza or concourse. Our suites offer unique spaces for break out meetings all complete with AV setups and the best view of the football field, the entire campus, and the beautiful Wasatch Mountains.

  • Located on the 4th floor, the Scholarship Room is our most popular space, with two-story ceilings and a mezzanine overlooking the room. The wall of windows looking to the west offer panoramic views of the Salt Lake Valley and Oquirrh Mountains while windows to the east show off the stadium bowl and field as well as the beautiful Wasatch Mountains. This space can accommodate up to 900 guests and comes as a blank slate for you to customize to your exact specifications.

  • Located on the 5th floor of The Tower and overlooking the Scholarship room, The Mezzanine space is perfect for overflow guests. Your guests will access all of the 5th floor breakout and meeting rooms from off this space making it an ideal exhibition space.

  • The views from our 6th floor Varsity Room are truly something to see. This room features one-story ceilings and an all-glass wall to the west, where sunsets over The Great Salt Lake wow our guests nightly. Like the Scholarship Room, a catering kitchen flanks the event space, with restrooms and coat racks on each side. Host up to 800 guests in the space that is completely customizable to suit your needs.

  • Hosting concerts, extreme sporting events, countless football matchups and the Winter Olympic Games, our stadium has welcomed some of the world’s most renown celebrities, dignitaries and athletes. The bowl seats just under over 45,000 and with added field seating, we’ve accommodated 50,000. Our 122 x 64-foot scoreboard makes a big impression, and the covered concourse area and South Plaza provide additional space for your group to spread out.

  • For small groups and business meetings, we have two large conference rooms and a number of suites which can be staged with AV, stocked with drinks and snacks and arranged to accommodate the size and needs of your group. Our suite spaces on level 4 & 5 make for great add-on spaces and can function as breakout rooms for large groups.

  • We offer convenient parking adjacent to the stadium and tower with ample space for your guests. We can reserve a number of stalls for you, or place a moratorium on the lot, both for a fee based on use. Talk to an event specialist for parking arrangements and note that on business days, the lot is used for university parking and is patrolled until 4 p.m. unless arrangements have been made for your event.

  • The Tower is paired with Chartwells as its exclusive caterer. With a focus on customizing every menu to meet the client’s unique taste and preferences, Chartwells delivers exemplary service and a wealth of delicious options to choose from. Our on-site kitchen and adjacent serving pantries keep food hot and fresh until served. Contact an event specialist for pricing and menus.

  • We offer high-speed wi-fi internet throughout the complex for our visitors and guests, free of charge. Our tech team is on site and ready to assist with all of your routine technical needs, including coordinating audio and visual displays. For professional sound and music services, our event planning team can connect you with our preferred local vendors

  • We offer the full suite of audio/visual tools and resources, including large video panel displays in The Tower and stadium bowl. Our AV specialists can help you show presentations, videos and other media and help you tap into our audio and visual display systems. We can also put you in touch with local resources for more complex sound and music services.

  • Our events team can help you design and stage a setup that meets the needs of your event, whether large or small, simple or grand. We can stage a casino night, a speakeasy, create VIP spaces or divide rooms with pipe and drape, whatever configuration best suits your event. We can also provide any equipment you need such as stages, dance floors, pianos and the like, as well as outdoor event equipment, chairs, heat lamps and anything else your event requires.

  • We offer convenient parking adjacent to the stadium and tower with ample space for your guests.     No vehicles are permitted to park on sidewalk. Deliveries or pick-ups must park in the parking lot or in one of the open truck bays. All deliveries must be made during regular business hours Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.

    We do not accept responsibility for receiving deliveries or removing property owned or rented by the patron. The patron or a representative of the patron must be responsible for the all deliveries and pick-ups in conjunction with the event.

  • The patron must remove all equipment or decorations brought into the facility for the event. This includes all linens, dishes, flowers, plants, balloons and other disposable decorations. The patron will be assessed an additional cleaning fee if decorations are not removed or disposed of properly.

    Helium balloons are allowed on the Varsity Level 6 only. The Scholarship Level 4 is prohibited because of the 25-foot ceiling. If a lift is required to retrieve errant balloons on the 4th Level the patron will be charged for lift rental and labor hours. Confetti and/or glitter are allowed but the patron will be charged an additional $100.00 cleaning fee for the removal of confetti and/or glitter.

    No nails, hooks, tacks, screws, staples, wire, tape or any other abrasives may be placed on or in walls or fixtures. Decorations may be hung or attached with zip-ties, soft rope or fishing wire only. Any damages or defacement of any kind will be assessed to the patron.

    Candles are allowed but must be placed in a container for the wax to drip into. Open flames such as candelabras are permitted but must be kept out of heavy traffic areas and away from flammable materials such as paper or cloth.

    All items delivered by a vendor or patron must be removed by 9:00 am the morning following the event.

  • Alcohol may be served upon approval only. Approval must be obtained from the Vice President over Rice-Eccles Stadium before the event is to take place.

    Alcohol may only be served in reception rooms at Rice-Eccles Stadium. All other areas of the stadium are prohibited to the service of alcohol.

    Participants may not consist primarily of University of Utah Employees. University of Utah students or minor students may not be in attendance.

    Spaces must be rented to an off-campus third party who is sponsoring the event. No University entities or departments may rent or host events in which alcohol is being served.

    The event must be closed to the General Public.

    There may not be a charge for any kind of alcohol beverages served at the event or for entry to the event.

    The third-party lessee must agree to comply with all Utah laws regarding the service and consumption of liquor. The third-party lessee must sign a rental agreement, an alcohol service request addendum and agree to assume liability for any claims resulting from the service or consumption of alcohol at the event.

    All alcohol must be provided and served by the exclusive caterer for Rice-Eccles Stadium.

    Patrons are not allowed to hire their own bartending service.

  • All events must end before midnight. Additional restrictions may apply to events that are using in stadium lighting and video boards.

  • Chartwells is our exclusive in-house caterer. As one of the top caterers in Utah, we are proud to have them as a part of our team. Any and all food and alcohol must be worked through them. Contact an event specialist for menus and pricing.
