FanUp Ambassadors - Stadium & Arena Event Services | University of Utah

We are looking for passionate Ute fans who are interested in participating in the U’s FanUp ambassador program. Be the face of the university, welcoming fans and visitors to Rice-Eccles Stadium during football season, the Huntsman Center during basketball season and gymnastics meets, and other campus venues for performances and special events throughout the year. Our ambassador program fosters a family-friendly environment and promotes outstanding sportsmanship at campus events.

FanUp Ambassadors

The FanUp Ambassador Program supports and promotes the University of Utah’s initiative to foster a safe, enjoyable and spirited fan environment at games, performances and other public events on campus. To FanUp means to be welcoming and respectful of visiting teams and their fans, to enjoy events responsibly, to promote a family friendly experience and to cheer loud and be Ute Proud!

FanUp Ambassadors will join ushering staff at games and events, welcoming attendees and acting as good examples of the FanUp pledge. Ambassadors will be a resource for visitors in need of information, possibly help if emergencies arise, and provide assistance as needed in reporting issues of inappropriate behavior. In short, they will be the university’s liaison to the public, extending a warm welcome to all and offering help when needed.

Anyone willing to volunteer their time as an ambassador of the University of Utah is welcome to participate. You do not need to be affiliated with the U in any way, you need only be a willing and passionate person who wants to help others have a great experience here on campus.

Ambassador positions are not paid but they receive personnel-level access to games and events and enjoy the benefit of meeting a wealth of people and becoming a part of the landscape that is the Utah Experience. To be a FanUp Ambassador is to be regarded as an exceptional individual and a model for what it means to be a great host, fan and friend.

Individuals at all skill and ability levels are welcome to apply. Those with physical limitations are also welcome but are asked to note what kinds of accommodations they need in order to perform ushering and assistance duties.

There is a need for FanUp Ambassadors at most university events including football and basketball games. FanUp Ambassadors will also work concerts and other non-athletic events held on campus.
