Welcome racing fans! We are excited to host you during this year’s Monster Energy AMA Supercross Races. We have a few changes in policies to ensure the health and safety of attendees to be aware of before you come to this year’s event.

 11:00: Pitt/Stadium opens (must have a pitt & event ticket to enter)

1:00 Preliminary Races Begin 

3:30 Stadium Gates open (non-pitt ticket holders can enter at this time)

4:30 Opening Ceremonies 

5:00 Races Begin

Parking on campus is limited. You can avoid parking by using TRAX or other UTA services to get to the stadium. Lots that parking for this event is allowed in will be marked and parking attendants will be on duty.

Raceday Road Closures

Race day closures are similar to those of recent U Athletics football game days to create pedestrian pathways between Rice-Eccles Stadium and the Guardsman Way parking lot. Again, race-day road closures will take place on Saturdays, April 24 and May 1, 2021, beginning at 6 a.m. and will reopen at midnight.

Closures on 500 South will be from Guardsman Way to 1300 East. Guardsman Way closures will be from 500 South to just about the entrance of the Steiner Recreation Center. Parking attendants will be in place on race days to ensure proper use of the Steiner Recreation Center parking spaces for the community. 

Pitt ticket holders can enter through the Guardsman or West Parking lot.

Stadium gates J/K (East side of the stadium) and D (West Side of Stadium) will be used for general entry.

No bags will be allowed in the stadium during this event.

A mask or a face covering is required to be worn throughout the event.

We will allow one factory-sealed water bottle of up to one liter per guest. Outside food will not be allowed in the arena. Guests are encouraged to bring an empty personal water bottle that can be filled at one of our water stations inside the stadium.

Concessions will be available in the concourses.

For the comfort and safety for all, the following items are not permitted in Rice-Eccles Stadium:

  • Alcohol
  • Aluminum Cans
  • Bags
  • Coolers / Ice Chests / Thermoses
  • Commercial Photography (must have written consent from event organizers)
  • Fireworks
  • Glass Bottles
  • Large Stadium Seats (must be less than 18″ in width)
  • Outside Food or Drink
  • Umbrellas (Ponchos are recommended)
  • Weapons
  • Drones
  • Non-service animals (must have documentation present for certified service animals)
  • Smoking is not allowed in the stadium at any time
